Save a Copy (to album)

When Save a Copy is chosen it seems to save to camera roll and not into the currently selected album. I would like it to save to the same album I'm in. I can see both use-cases: a "to edit" album where save-a-copy would just gum it up with duplicates. But my workflow is that when working with large RAWs or TIFs (film scans) I organize my photos by event, then I want to make my edit, save a copy in HEIF to the same event album and then delete the huge original (assume it's backed up elsewhere) To accomplish what I want manually is very painful: I save a copy, navigate to Photos.app, find this same album that I was editing, tap on my photo and select "show in all photos", pick out the copy, "add to album" scroll through all albums again and add it to the same album as the original. This sucks. Also, I made a shortcut to save to album, which I can invoke via the "send to another app" export option, but then I am presented with an even worse album-selection which is linear and completely flattened hap-hazardly. My workaround has been a shortcut where I hard-code the album to save to, but that's obviously not ideal as well. Thanks!
